Holiday Grant and Gift Deadlines
Reminder to Notify for Stock Gifts: If you plan to make a gift of securities to your fund, you or your broker must notify us before making a gift. To assure a smooth transaction, we ask that you please initiate the transfer by December 23rd. Stock Gift Instructions can be found here.
Grant Processing Holidays Due to bank and office closures, grants will not be processed during the following weeks: November 25-29, December 23-January 3.
December 16: Year-End Grant Deadline To ensure that nonprofits receive grants by the close of the calendar year, please submit your year-end grant recommendations by this date. Grants entered after December 16th will be processed the week of January 6th.
December 31: Fund Contribution Deadline To realize tax benefits this year, any new contribution to your fund must be received or postmarked no later than December 31st, 2024. If you send a check as a contribution to your fund, please make it payable to Community Foundation Sonoma County and note the name of the fund on the memo line.
